The Na-ye Kim Movement Collective (NKMC) and Sungkyunkwan University's Department of Dance are excited to host the workshop Countertechnique into Creation with Anouk van Dijk, Founder of Countertechnique and former artistic director of Chunky Move, one of Australia's leading dance companies.
Workshop content
Each day we will begin with a Countertechnique class (90 minutes), followed by the creative part of the workshop where Countertechnique principles are used in repertory, improvisation and composition. In the Countertechnique class, dancers learn to move with a new understanding how to direct their body energy in space, resulting in dancing with more freedom and efficiency. In the second part of the workshop, Countertechnique tools are applied in the creative process.
The workshop will take place from July 10th to 15th. The results of the workshop will be showcased in the evening of 15 July at Sungkyun Gallery. This is a unique opportunity to work with an internationally renowned artist, so we look forward to receiving your application!
