‘Countertechnique: working with an ever-changing body’

Countertechnique in Tokyo!

December 19 - 22

Using dance as a medium of communication, XHIASMA/Ema Yuasa explores different possibilities of interacting through dance, and how this can inform the encounters and engagement with yourself, and with others.

For XHIASMA Project #002, Ema Yuasa has invited Anouk van Dijk, Dutch choreographer, director and Founder of the movement method Countertechnique, to hold a special intensive workshop at the Goethe Institute Tokyo from December 19 - 22!

Countertechnique has been developed for professional dancers to support their demanding profession, and is now being taught by over 40 teachers worldwide, and implemented in the training of dance companies, universities and open studio classes, and is rapidly gaining interest from dancers around the world. Please join us for this great opportunity, and experience this method first hand!
